Cardiff & District U15s cup results

A fascinating first round of the U15s cup, with some unexpected results. In a very tight and competitive game, Butetown edged Rhiwbina Black 4-3.  The game had finished three apiece after full-time, but it was ten-man Butetown who got the winning goal in extra time.

The teams from the C Division had a good day.  Dragons edged Rhiwbina White 3-2 to progress to the next stage.  C Division Grangetown Athletic held A Divsion to a 1-1 draw at the end of normal time.  But Pentwyn went on to get two goals in extra time and a place in the second round.  Marlboro White beat Caerau Ely from the B Division.  Cardifff Hibernian and Gwaelod Rangers both won their games against fellow C Division opposition.  Overall, an unprecedented four teams from the C Division have made it to the next round.  There are three teams from the B Division and seven from the A Division.

The game between two of the top A Division teams -  St Albans and Marlboro Black - resulted in a comfortable 7-3 win for the Buns.
