U15 Football, Results, 15 September 2012

Results for Saturday's U15s football matches have started to arrive.  In the match of the day (see report above) St Albans edged Rhiwbina 2-1 in a close, pulsating game of football.

Not seen since the 1953 'Matthews Final', Pentwyn staged a dramatic comeback  from 3-0 down against Rhiwbina White to win 4-3.  Butetown edged the game of the newcomers, beating Pentyrch 4-3.  With their new players bedding in, Marlboro Black achieved an emphatic 9-0 victory. It seems the game between Fairwater and Whitchurch was controversially abandoned.

In the B Division, Grangetown win again to top the league.  In the C Division the Dragons  go to second in the league with a 5-0 win. We don't have Marlboro White's result for today as yet, but on the basis of  their first two games they are top on goal difference.  Grangetown Athletic get their season off to a winning start in a high-scoring game which saw them edge out Maindy Corries 9-7.
