Cardiff & District U15s Football, 8 December 2012

The weather for this Saturday's Cardiff & District football fixtures again look as though it will be good.  If it is, to have played two sets of fixtures in December will be something of a record.   

 

The two outstanding second round cup fixtures see Butetown play Whitchurch and Ty Celyn take on Marlboro Red.  Judging by their positions in their respective leagues these should be close-run matches. 

 

In the A Division the Fairwater v Pentwyn should be a close game with both teams playing stylish football this season.   Marlboro Black are home to Rhiwbina Black and this should be a good test of how well their team is settling after a difficult period.  Pentyrch welcome St Albans up to the windy slopes of the Garth. 

In the B Division, the pick of the games has to be the first place Grangetown v and second place Canton Rangers match. Both teams are on 13 points, but Grangetown have played one fewer.   If either team slip up and Caerau Ely win they  could find themselves going to the top of the division.

will be looking to hold on to top place when they play Rumney.  But Rumney have shown plenty of times that they are capable of brining off shock results. Second place Caerau Ely are at home to fourth place Marlboro Red in what promises to be another close game in what is turning out to be a very competitive division this season.

In the C Division, the match between Gwaelod Rangers and Marlboro White is one both teams will want to win to maintain their pressure on the top spots. But the division's leading teams, Dragons and Grangetown Athtletic, who both have away games, are unlikely to ease up in their push for the promotion places.
