Football fixtures, Wednesday, 11 September 2013 Having got their seasons off to a good start with wins on Saturday,  Fairwater and Whitchurch were looking to secure more points on Wednesday.  But the A Division looks like being highly competitive this season and points will be hard to come by. Whitchurch found Pentwyn tough opponents, who were still riding high after holding Rhiwbina to a draw on the weekend. The result of the game between Whitchurch and Pentwyn was a close fought 1-1 draw. Games between Fairwater and Pentyrch were  close run last season and while Pentyrch ran out 5-1 winners, the game was a lot tighter than the scoreline shows.  Sam Ovens scored a hat-trick, with Matt Lai grabbing the other two for Pentyrch. Fairwater's Gabriel unlocked the Pentyrch defence with terrific pace to get Fairwater's goal.  With a larger squad, Pentyrch look like real contenders to do well this season.  In the B Division, Urdd chalked up a second win with a 3-1 victory over Danescourt.  A brace of goals from  Elis Jones and the third from Steffan Prytherch secured their victory.
