U15 Football Fixtures, 13 October 2012

This Saturday, it's the second round of the Cardiff & District Football Cup.   St Albans are at home to Fairwater.  They were due to meet in the league last week but fixtures were rained off. Fingers will be crossed that the same doesn't happen again otherwise we will be faced with a fixtures backlog before the season has barely got under way.

The St Albans v Fairwater match in which two A Division teams are drawn against each other.  There will no doubt be 'giantkilling' ambitions on the part of Rumney, Cardiff Hibs and Dragons when they come up against A Division teams.  As the previous round showed, there are a number of C Division teams capable of pulling off a surprise.

In Saturday's league games, the A Division match between Whitchurch and Butetown will be a good marker of the two teams likely fortunes for the season.  Butetown seem to have established themselves in the Division after a shaky start.  Whitchurch have had what is a slow start by their standards.  Both teams will be keen to push on and establish themselves among the contenders for the top places in the A Division.

In the B Division, the Caerau Ely v Canton Rangers is likely to be a close affair.  Two good teams with the same points tally.  Whoever wins is likely to find themselves in second spot as the other contender for second spot is involved in a cup match.  Top of the division, Grangetown are set to play, Marshfield, who are still yet to play a match this season.

In the C Division, the only game of the day sees Llanedeyrn at home to Grangetown Athletic.  A win for either team will put them on six points and level with the three leading teams in the division, who are all on cup duty this Saturday.
