On Sunday, 6 October 2012, Cardiff Schools Under 15s travelled to Cwmbran to play the Torfaen U16s team. Dan Omeregie was the first on the score sheet to give Cardiff an early advantage. This was soon followed by a goal from Niall Gray and Cardiff were looking comfortable.
But Torfaen pegged a goal back to make it 2-1. However, Cardiff's advantage was soon restored and extended with goals from Nathan Mathias and Nick Davies. The score at half-time was Torfaen 1 - 4 Cardiff.
In the second half, Cardiff reasserted their dominance. Tremaine Jeanne got himself a brace of goals and Dan Raymond did likewise to take the final score to 1 - 8 Cardiff.
