U15s Football Fixtures, 2 March 2013

The intriguing game of football in this week's A Division, is probably the Pentwyn v Rhiwbina Black fixture.  Pentwyn are back in third place and have been on a good run, but the game the game against Rhiwbina will be a real test of how far they have progressed.  And Rhiwbina are coming off the back of a 9-1 win against Butetown, so their confidence will be high.  Pentwyn are on a good run, but Marlboro will be riding high after a good win last week.

In the B Division fourth place Canton Rangers take on fifth place Ty Celyn Black in what is a classic six-pointer.  If Canton win they will put some space between themselves and Ty Celyn.  But with games in hand, a win for Ty Celyn would hand them the advantage in the race for the top spots.  Marlboro Red, who have lost some momentum in recent weeks are up against Urdd, who are now unbeaten in three games.  This is a game that will provide a measure of where both teams now stand in this division.

The match of the day across all three divisions has to be the Dragons v Gwaelod Rangers fixture.  The Dragons are currently flying high and racking up their goal tally.  But Gwaelod are also unbeaten and will be a stern test for Dragons.  With five games in hand, a win for Gwaelod will really throw the C Division title race wide open.  And next weekend, the Dragons face a further stiff test when they come up against second place Grangetown Athletic, who have yet to drop a point this season.  The next two weeks could well determine the outcome of this division.
